Kudos and Thank You grapic

What does a “Kudo” look like?  We’d like to know because as the TRIBE moves into the phase of organizing ourselves into a formal non-profit society, we owe big Kudos to a few wonderful, hard-working people.

We would like to acknowledge the hard work done by several leadership team members who have moved on to family commitments or other endeavors in recent months.

Membership Roll Clean-up Duty

Last summer, Wendy Mathias, Michelle Taggart, Jana Last, and Gini Webb, assisted by Jill Ball, went through the thousands of links on our membership roll and made sure they were all still active links and featured genealogy. If the links were no longer good, they did “reasonably exhaustive” research to find the active link for that content provider. That was an enormous and enormously helpful project and made the work done by Kate Challis (along with Shannon Thomas) in creating a blogiversary form possible.

Calendar Girl

Wendy Mathias (pictured in the negative strip above) also helped improve the GeneaBloggersTRIBE Calendar of Ideas. She provided images and appropriate permissions for events from September through June. In addition, she worked to make the calendar a little less USA-centric by adding global events and making sure the USA events we do list have a broad appeal.

Newsletter and Twitterchat

Eowyn Langholf offered her expertise and vision on some projects that we’re still rolling out, such as our newsletter and TRIBE Twitterchat.

Pat Richley-Erikson isn’t taking a back seat, but she’s leaving the driving to us. Meanwhile, she happily assists and advises whenever needed.

To Wendy, Michelle, Jana, Kate,

Gini and Eowyn

Thank you so much, ladies, for your hard work and assistance in getting the organization up and running. You were truly an asset, and GeneaBloggersTRIBE is better for your contributions. We’ll miss working with you!
