Join us in welcoming A Jones Family History: the first three hundred years (1700-2000) to the GeneaBloggersTRIBE membership roll as we wish them a Happy Blogiversary as well.
Marney Yaniv started this blog on 10/18/2013 as a “family website to inform my siblings and their family about our direct paternal line and our place in early Colonial American history.” The site also showcases many Quaker resources. Marney points out that the surname “Jones” hasn’t been as difficult to trace as you might think. There were not too many Irishmen named Jones who immigrated to the American colonies who were also Quakers.
This site is not arranged as a typical blog, with articles published in reverse chronological order. Instead there are articles listed by names and categories. These include
- Francis & Rachel Newton Jones
- Samuel & Hannah Lloyd/ Samuel & Amy Liberty Lawrence
- Francis II & Jane Wallis Medcalf
