Lord Baden-Powell Day celebrates the founding of the Scouting Movement on the anniversary of Lord Baden-Powell’s birthday. While in school, Lord Baden-Powell learned basic scouting skills while playing in the woods. Those skills plus the advanced skills he learned during his army career formed the basis of the scouting camp he started in 1907.
